Roasted Dairy Flakes: Roasted Dairy Flakes A high protein feed specifically designed for dairy cows being fed for milk production or for a cow with a calf at foot. Urea is added to this feed at 0.5%. Calves may have access to this feed after they have been weaned, ie from three months of age. All the grains are roasted (Micronised) and flaked to gelatinise the starch, allowing maximum digestibility and energy utilisation. This also assists in reducing the harmful affects of high grain feeding. These grain flakes are blended with high quality protein meals such as soybean meal, together with the correct levels of vitamins and minerals to assist in providing optimum milk production.
